I have Deskscapes installed on my machine and it has been running great. The other day I installed some very common software and now my animations make a small backward jump every time the video makes a loop. This is happening on all of the dream files and not so much on the mpeg files that came with dream scene. This is not a result of a bad loop this is happening on videos that used to have seamless playback. The very first time I installed Deskscapes it gave me a message about optimizing my video settings, could these settings have been changed? I have tried re installing, and this message doesn't appear.

The software that I installed was Nero burning software and java.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

If have also had problems with Nero. I found that if you install just the core program without anything else, the jerk or hesitation in Dreams is no longer there. I think Nero install some codecs if you allow anything other than a minimal install.

Thanks for the suggestions, I removed Nero and that fixed my problem. I tried reinstalling the core application of Nero but the glitch came back. In the end I kept Nero on my system but disabled all of the Nero related codecs using a utility that came with k-light codec package. All is working well now.
